Amanda Bahena Joins ASB Board of Directors

The American State Bank Board of Directors is pleased to welcome Amanda Bahena as a new board member beginning in August of 2024.

Bahena, a Sioux Center native and attorney at Woods Fuller Law, brings a wealth of experience in business and entrepreneurship as well as various areas of law including immigration, estate planning and corporate law.

“I look forward to serving ASB as a director, because a strong and healthy local bank drives community long-term growth and stability,” says Bahena. “I also appreciate ASB’s deep and committed support to area non-profits and other community organizations. My family and I are involved in agriculture and are entrepreneurs, so I know the importance of a close banking relationship and a healthy bank.”

Bahena is involved in various professional and community organizations, including the American Immigration Council, American Immigration Lawyers Association, Iowa and South Dakota State Bar Associations, Sioux County Bar Association, Vi Bella Serves, Inc., and a local youth outreach program.

“We are excited to have Amanda join our Board of Directors,” says Brandon Woudstra, CEO of American State Bank. “She is community-focused and will serve the bank well with her experience, knowledge, and energy.”
