Why is American State Bank undergoing this change?
With our new Credit Card program, there will be additional benefits for our customers:
- You can view card controls within Online & Mobile Banking, instead of needing to download a 3rd party app
- Turn your card on/off & report if stolen
- Flag fraudulent transactions
- Real-time alerts
- Enhanced rewards program that includes cash back and other rewards redemption on select cards
- Reissued cards with the most up-to-date card technology, including insert, swipe, or tap payment options
When is the Credit Card Conversion?
The Credit Card Conversion will take place on Monday, June 30.
Will I get a new credit card? Will it have a different number?
You will receive your new ASB Credit Card in the mail between June 16 - 30, 2025 in an unmarked envelope. On June 30th, your old credit card will no longer work and you may activate your new credit card. Your new card will have a new credit card number, expiration, and CVV.
When can I expect my new credit card?
Your will receive your new card between June 16 - 30, 2025 in an unmarked envelope in the mail.
When can I activate and start using my new credit card?
You can activate your new card on June 30, 2025, and begin using it then. Your old card will no longer work beginning June 30, 2025.
When will my old card stop working?
Your old credit card will not work on or after June 30, 2025. If you are traveling during this time, make sure to bring both cards with you so you will have no lapse in card usage.
Will my credit card balance transfer to my new card?
Yes, your credit card balances will transfer over to the new credit card.
Will my rates or terms change?
No, no rates or terms will change at the time of the Credit Card Conversion on June 30, 2025.
